Description
Europeans are seeking land and the New World has plenty. Among those who choose to leave home and family is Robert Steele. An Irish lad of sixteen, he sails for the colony of Carolina. Arriving alone in Charles Towne in 1740 he secures his contract as an indentured servant to businessman Mr. John Ward who assigns him to a land surveyor. He knows that fulfilling a family dream will require hard work and he is determined to prove that he is capable.
