Whenever I go to a conference, I am always excited and renewed and also overwhelmed. I am overwhelmed with my social awkwardness, but I am also overwhelmed with the wide number and variety of stories that are walking around on two legs. Most people would call them humans, but for me, I just wonder who they are.

Not just who they are at this conference, but who are they to their families? To their colleagues? To their pets?

There are just so many possibilities walking around that when I get asked who I am, I often respond with just the basics. My imagination starts drawing up other people’s stories that I forget my own and in the process might just skip an opportunity for me to connect my story with other peoples’ stories.
