If you have worked at all in Kindle Direct Publishing, then you know that your work formatting your e-book isn’t finished as soon as you export to epub. Instead, you have to upload your epub file to Kindle Direct Publishing and then you have to wait and see what happens.

I am sure there are coding alternatives that allow you to be sure your formatting isn’t going to change once you upload to the Kindle store, but for those of us who are dealing with the visual side of publishing, you know how frustrating it can be to work for hours to get a format exactly how you want it to be and then have it change just a smidgen in the upload process.

Are there other options for e-book writers and publishers?

Thankfully, yes. If you’re frustrated with Kindle, then check out some of these alternatives. Our favorite is Squarespace.
