A report on CBS Morning, reported that it isn’t the rise of e-book that has changed book publishing, but rather the rise of audiobooks. Listening to audiobook is no longer something for your grandparents. Instead, audiobooks have become a past time of commuters, runners and bikers.
With services like Audible that allows readers to pick up where they have left off in either their audiobook or e-book version of the book, the line between reading and listening is becoming blurred. In fact, there are some authors who are developing and producing only audiobooks.
How does your story sound out loud? Maybe this is the question authors and publishers need to wrestle with more than any other.
